About Us: We are an alternative rock band from Carmel, New York,
which is about an hour north of New York City.
History: We have been together for about 1 and a half years.
During the spring of 2003 we got a new bassist, Jared. For a while we just played cover songs, but in the begginging
of the 2003/2004 school year we finnaly started to work on originals written by lead guitarist and singer, Ray.
After we had our first original, "Abandoned," completely finished, we played in our first concert: The 2003
Fall Edition of the Carmel Highschool Rock Club Show. Before the concert, we all agree to change our name to The Unforsaken. Along
with many other bands we played our one song, and got a warm response from the croud...our first ever concert was a sucsess.
Since then, we have played in 2 other concerts as The Unforsaken, the 2003 Carmel Highschool International
Extravaganze (IntEx) and the 2004 Carmel Highschool Rock Club Battle of the bands.
We opened IntEx with SemiSonic's "Closing Time" (opening a concert with a song called "Closing Time"...how
ironic) and then played our original song "Abandoned" to end our two song set. During our second song, two
of our friends ran out into the open area in front of us and started jumping around and doing windmills and cartwheels
and having a good time. We took this as a good sign saying that they must have like our song. The crowds response
after the two songs also gave us a good feeling.
By the time the 2004 Rock Club Battle Of The Bands came around we had sucsessfully completed three originals, all of
which are written by Ray and all of which we played in the Battle Of The Bands. Once again it seemed the crowd like
our music and all three of our songs.
In the spring of 2004 we agreed to change our name back to Cut To The Chase.

News (Sometime in May or June): We will be playing for Jared's Senior
Presentation on June 8th!
News (July 8, 2004): Jared's Senior Presentation was fun. We
played "Can't Say The Same for You" and wanted to play "Abandoned," but Jared's teacher wouldn't let us. Better one
than none. Anyway, it wen't pretty well. Ray forgot the whole entire second verse, hahaha, but no one cared.
Everyone in the class seemed to like us, and wanted us to play the second song but we couldn't. All in all we had fun
and played well. Jared got a 92 on his presentation too!
A few days after Jared's presentation Dan quit the band, saying: "No one liked us, and we are turning
into the Offspring." He later added that we only have one good song and that we are going to be a "garbage
kids band" (if someone understands that, please tell one of us what that means). On July 1, 2004, during the preimer
of the movie Spider Man 2, Mike became our new drummer.
At the same time Dan left the band, after much hesitation and debate, Ray decided that it would be
best for the band to replace our Rythem guitarist, John, with another guitarist, Tom. And so he did.
We are currently recording so check back for more news!
